Weekly Report 6: MSDF Fonts

After adding zooming (as mentioned in last week's report), we found that bitmap fonts looked unacceptably bad when not at the default zoom level, so we ended up changing our plans for the week: we spent it implementing MSDF fonts.
MSDF Fonts
We implemented Multi-channel Signed Distance Field (MSDF) fonts, which can render crisply at a wide range of scales. Thankfully the integration wasn't too hard - text now displays sharply at all zoom levels.
What's Next
Last week we mentioned player status indicators as the final feature before closed alpha. Due to time constraints, we've decided to skip that for now and prioritize getting the closed alpha online, so this week we're setting up CI/CD.
